Harmony For Generations Campaign
In addition to performing, the Alexandria Harmonizers conduct a number of educational training activities targeted at youth. Currently, the Harmonizers’ annual costs for Youth Programs, professional level coaching, scholarships, and free concerts exceed $50,000 a year. We hope that you can step forward in this endowment fund campaign to help assure the necessary funds for these programs will be available. In these tough economic times we recognize that schools will not be able to continue to provide the support for artistic programs that we would all like to see for developing the minds and skills of our youth and maintaining the quality of life for our communities. With your help we hope to continue to fill the void created as schools and community arts programs are shrinking.
In 2010, the Alexandria Harmonizers established the "Harmony for Generations Campaign" to raise funds to ensure the continued support of Youth Harmony programs for years to come. Funds raised in support of this campaign will be retained and managed by the Harmony Foundation with investment dividends being used to support local programs. This model for managing funds received through this campaign will provide sustainable income for generations.
